Everything here is the recording half of the setup, already configured: separate camera and screen files that line up in your editor, each with its own audio!
What is in the download
- React.json — the scene collection: Main, Camera, Media, and file-playback versions of each
- profile-simple — output, video and audio settings (1080p30, 16,000 Kbps, Hybrid MP4)
- media-skip.lua — hotkeys to jump the video back or forward ten seconds
- Installers for macOS, Windows and Linux — each backs up whatever it replaces
The two traps it avoids
Two Source Record filters that share a folder and the default timestamp filename write to the same file in the same second, and you lose one of them. Every filter in this kit has its own prefix.
The plugin can also mix a scene’s audio itself, and that mangles any microphone not running at 48 kHz — a Bluetooth headset mic comes out as near-silence and crackle. This kit routes each source to its own audio track instead.
Before you start
Install OBS, open it once and quit. Then install the Source Record plugin by Exeldro. Without it the separate camera and screen recordings will not be written.
